Arbour
Description:
Attempting to create an entirely new weaving perspective, the arts
and crafts movement initially sought inspiration from classic Persian
motifs and then simplified them in detail, scale and color. Here
the grand result is rendered in a dramatic scarlet with sky blue
and gold to highlight.

Canterbury
Description:
Like a royal crest, the densely designed field of rolling vinery
and flowerheads surrounds a cross motif flanked by stylized staffs
and laurel wreath imagery. Graphic interpretations of lotus blossoms
line the perimeter while a simplified acanthus motive finishes the
frame.

Donegal
Description:
In this re-interpretation of the famous Donnemara carpet originally
designed by Voysey, tulip and rose elements seamlessly combine for
a highly decorative effect. Improving on the original pattern, the
ample use of ivory outlining highlights and provides dimensionality.

Morning Glory
Description:
Unique in the arts and crafts movement was the unmistakable work
of Christopher Dresser. Committed to the innate geometry of the
woven arts, his persistent design aim was to create carpets such
as this, a blooming garden teeming with life and beauty.

Rosetti
Description:
A lively interplay of sky blue and delicate coral offsets the cocoa
field in this classic, arts and crafts style carpet. Lining the
primary border like a garden path, roses begin to bloom, growing
spontaneously into the outer secondary frame.

Voysey
Description:
Generally attributed to Voysey, this design gives the giant Hemlock
tree center stage. Amply scaled, delineated acanthus leaves ramble
across the border panels unfettered by the generally accepted confines
of classical carpet artistry and its straight-line border frames.
